On this page, you'll find the latest details of what's on at our family hubs.

Although we try hard to make sure everything on these pages and timetables is accurate, details of events can sometimes change at short notice. There might be cancellations because of, for example, bad weather or other emergencies. So if you're making a special trip, you might want to check with the hub or with the organisers beforehand.

East Family hub

Here's a quick overview of recent events:

  • Birth registrations - call 01274 432151 for an appointment.
  • Sensory Room - a therapeutic space for all families devoted to relaxing/developing the senses. Call to book.
    SEND Parent/Carer’s Coffee Morning - a place for parent carers to share experiences and get support. Email chaslam@carersresource.org or call 0808 501593 for more information.
  • Health Visitor, Baby and Midwife Clinics - including Clover midwife clinic. Appointment only;speak to your health visitor or midwife.
  • School Nurse Team - Support with eating, lifestyles, relationships, sleep & more. Drop in/call 01274221203.
  • Baby Feeding drop-ins - friendly and experienced infant feeding specialists are here to support you with questions or concerns as well as every day feeding support. Breast pumps are available to borrow if you've seen a practitioner and there's a need identified.
  • Maternity Circle - drop in, we run a wide range of sessions to support pregnant mums and those with children under 2.
  • BD25 fun and activities - part of BD25 - doing arts &crafts and outdoor activities
  • LOCALA sexual health - drop-in clinic for sexual health advice.
  • Dad Matters drop-in - supporting expectant dads or new dads of 0-2s to have the best possible relationship with their family.
  • Messy Mondays - messy play for 0-4s.
  • Education drop-in - A session for parents and carers of children aged 5 to 16 providing non-judgmental support with school attendance concerns. It's a safe space for you to discuss worries, connect with support services, and receive advice from attendance support workers. Email Attendance@bradford.gov.uk with queries.
  • Kid's Time Workshop - parents with mental illness and children to work together in dispelling stigma and building stronger families. The children can be 0-19 yrs as we will run drama groups for younger ones and Teen talk for teens as well as an adult group.

  • School nurse parent drop-in – Support with eating, lifestyles, relationships, sleep issues and more.
  • Women’s chit chat group – drop-in for a warm drink, chat and peer support.
  • Sensory play room – a therapeutic space, perfect for children with SEND. Call us to book.
  • Clothes shack – a free drop-in clothes recycle shop.
  • Job Club (City Library) - free work clubs to learn IT skills, create/update your CV, look for jobs and more.
  • Great Minds Together - a free session for targeted families with children with SEND. Call us for info.
  • CCST – for families with children with SEND. Call the hub for an appointment and more information.
  • Baby Clinic – drop in to have your baby weighed.
  • Special Space Inclusion Group 11+ - Movie nights, trips, activities, gaming, food, arts and crafts and more. Bookable through Lukman 07890970716, Khuram 07971179676 or Margaret 07974623779.
  • Baby feeding support sessions - run every week by friendly experienced infant feeding practitioners with specialist support available. Any questions or concerns can be supported as well as every day feeding support. Breast pumps are available to borrow if you have seen a practitioner and there is a need identified. Drop in.
  • Study Stations - Now bookable through reception for everyone to use as a quiet space to work.
  • Stay and Play - for 0-4s.
  • Locala - drop-in clinic for sexual health advice.
  • Mums, bumps and babies - safe space for pregnant & new mums with babies to meet, share stories, make friends & learn about our Start for Life programmes! Tea, coffee & baby facilities available!
  • Young Explorers - Join our amazing Family Navigators who will be planning activities in our woodlands area.
  • Farcliffe Bookable Read and Rhyme Room - can be booked for hourly sessions Monday to Friday. It's designed to encourage families to enjoy reading with their children and to explore fantasies and many other genres instead of being stuck in front of technology. Can also be booked by staff to do direct work with families/parents as there also parenting books in the same room.
  • Mind the Gap - Free sensory workshop drop-in.
  • Legal Support - Drop in for free family law advice.
  • Carer's Resource Coffee Morning - Drop in session for families for those with SEND.
  • Bradford Stronger Together cook & eat - relaxing time for parents with children who have additional needs. Drop in.

  • Bookable Outdoor Play Area - our secure outdoor play area is bookable by ringing us on 01274 436700 Monday through to Friday. This can be used 1-1 or in a small group up to 10 people.

  • Coffee mornings - Free coffee morning with support available around finances, mental health, housing, return to work and more Baby Circles - CALLING ALL EXPECTANT PARENTS!! Grab a cuppa, connect with other pregnant women, seek wider support all whilst relaxing and enjoying a wide range of wellbeing and self-care activities. New mums welcome. Call us for more information.
  • Baby feeding support drop-in - friendly, experienced infant feeding specialists are here to support you with questions or concerns and everyday feeding support. Breast pumps available to borrow if you've seen a practitioner and a need is identified.
  • Play and learn - for children 0-5. No need to book, come play along with your children and make new friends.
    Community drop-in - family navigators available to support you with all things family hub and signpost you to services to support your family, from cost of living to SEND services.
  • Sensory Space Sessions - Our new sensory space is now open for families to book. It's a wonderful space with light, sound and textures for children and babies to explore. If you would like to book a slot please contact the family hub.
  • Locala - information and services around sexual health and contraception from professional, experienced staff.
  • C-card scheme - supporting young People aged 13 to 24 to access FREE contraception, information and advice. Drop in to the hubs to sign up and access in a safe, confidential space.
  • SEND support marketplace - a variety of services available to discuss support for parents, young people & children with SEND.
  • Tea Time Club - Come and join in the fun at our free teatime club!!Games, craft and a light tea included. Children can also use our Chromebooks and free Wi-Fi to complete homework. We have digital champions available to help if needed

  • Warm Space - Come and chill out with us at the hub, bring your friends and family. We have arts, crafts and other activities. We will have free snacks and drinks available.

Here's a quick overview of recent events:

  • Play and learn – our free sessions open to all families with children 0-5. Enjoy fun activities songs and stories as well as tips to support your child's wellbeing and development.
  • Baby feeding support sessions - run every week by friendly experienced infant feeding practitioners with specialist support available. Any questions or concerns can be supported as well as every day feeding support.
    Breast pumps are available to borrow if you have seen a practitioner and there is a need identified. Please do just drop in, no booking needed.
  • Sensory room – Call or email us to book sessions at Rainbow. For sessions at Owlet Family Centre call 01274 436600.
  • Parent Led SEND play - for families with children aged 6-11. Please call us for more information.
  • Baby Clinic - drop in to get your baby weighed
  • Maternity Circle - offer a safe and welcoming space in a community environment. Come to one of our sessions and meet other pregnant women, new mums and babies. We'll provide information around maternal health wellbeing and parenting as well as the wider support available from other services (baby weighing available).
  • Arts and crafts group - After-school arts & crafts group open to all. No session on the first Thursday of the month.
  • SEND Parent-led support - meet other parent carers in a safe, welcoming space to share experiences and get support.
  • Education drop-in - A drop-in session for parents and carers of children aged 5 to 16 which provides non-judgmental support with school attendance concerns. It's a safe space for you to discuss worries, connect with support services, and receive advice from attendance support workers. No booking required; email Attendance@bradford.gov.uk with any queries.
  • Autumn Family Fun Session - Our FREE Autumn Family Fun Day on Tuesday 28th October 1pm-3pm
  • SEND toilet training workshop - booking essential - please call the hub to find out more.
  • Children's Community Support Team - supporting families with children with SEND needs in the Keighley/Shipley area. Booking essential, call us to book.
  • Sendiverse 2025 event - music, story telling and much more. Just drop in.
