Car Seat Training for Professionals

Do you transport other people's children as part of your everyday role? Or do you provide advice to parents, families or others who may be transporting children?

If so, our free (online) Child Seat Training course is for you.

A correctly fitted child seat can significantly reduce the risk of injury or death in the event of a collision, yet during a series of car seat check events across West Yorkshire in 2025, where over 1000 child seats were checked, 56% were incorrectly fitted – putting children and young people across our region at risk. The Vision Zero partnership believe that no death or serious injury on the roads is acceptable and are pleased to be able to offer this free, 3.5 hour, CPD-certified, online training course aimed at professionals based in West Yorkshire who transport other people’s children or who provide advice to parents and carers. The course will help you gain knowledge and understanding around child seat law and safe fitting of seats. Read the attached flyer for more information and booking details.

The West Yorkshire Vision Zero Delivery Group have arranged three free training sessions on the dates below:

• Date 1: Thursday 10th September 2026, 09:30-13:00

• Date 2: Wednesday 4th November 2026, 13:00-16:30

• Date 3: Tuesday 2nd February 2027, 17:00-20:30
