Making the decision to send your child to a nursery or a childminder can be a big step for some parents and carers, and it is natural to have questions.  Every child and family is different but there is lots of information, help and support available locally.

Why is Early Education and childcare so important?

Early years education is much more than childcare or a place for children to play. Children learn to explore the world around them, they become eager to learn, make friends, and build their language skills.

Did you know that research shows that children who have good quality early education are more prepared for school, do better at each stage of school and beyond?

What support is there to help me with the costs?

Depending on your circumstances, families can receive support from when their baby is 9 months old until they leave full-time education.
