Safe Transport of Other People's Children

Do you ever need to provide advice to families and parents about child in-car safety? Or, do you need to transport other people's children as part of your everyday role? If so, the STOP C course, delivered online by Child Seat Safety Ltd., is for you.

Modules

During your training you will gain knowledge on the two mandatory modules and an optional module most suited to your role.

Compulsory Modules

  • Law - this will cover the ECE safety standards for child car seats, road traffic law, health and safety standards and workplace audits.
  • Vehicle - This will look at the design and safety features of vehicles and compatibility issues when fitting child car seats.

Optional Modules (choose one of the following)

  • The Child - this module is an overview of physical development from birth to 12, in relation to child car seats. This is ideal if your work involves dealing with families, such as social care, foster care and school transport providers.
  • Early Years - this module looks at the physical development of infants from birth to 2 years in relation to transporting them safely, It also covers advice for expectant parents. This module is ideal for health care professionals and early year specialists.
  • Special Needs Seating - Transporting children with specific additional needs can be complex. It will help identify specific needs and issues as well as looking at accessories and additional product testing. This module is suited to anyone involved with children with special needs including Occupational Therapists and community transport services.
