Learn about the importance of speech, language and communication for learning and life, typical development in the early years, and how to support parents with key messages and quality interactions.

Speech and language challenges in the early years: identifying needs and supporting children and their families

Including how to spot speech and language challenges, useful identification tools and resources, how to help, and supporting parents with talking strategies at home.

Supporting and understanding the needs of children with complex speech and language challenges

An in-depth look at understanding the needs of children with social communication differences, creating communication supportive environments, and supporting parents with specific strategies in the
home.

Talking Bradford Pathways Training

In this session the Early Years Officers will introduce you to Talking Bradford pathways and resources, as well as looking at practical advice for helping create a language rich supportive environment. They will also explore how you can support parents with advice and information.
