Integrated Front Door/Early Help Gateway
This team receives calls from both practitioners and families. They assess each situation, determine the level of support required, and recommend an appropriate service or team to lead on supporting the family.
If you need to contact them you should:
- Speak with your Safeguarding Lead within your organisation
- Ask “Have I/we done everything I/we can to help and support the family?”
- Refer to the Continuum of Need document

- Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm
- Fridays 8.30am to 4.30pm
Family Navigators
Based within our Family Hubs, Family Navigators provide a welcoming and approachable first point of contact for families. They will listen to what matters to families, offer advice and guidance, signpost and help them to access local services and hub activities.

Evidence Based Parenting Team
District wide practitioners offering a variety of evidence based parenting groups- both face to face or virtual.

Family Aide Worker:
Bradford Children & Families Trust (BCFT) commission Brathay Trust, J.A.M.E.S and YMCA Bradford to deliver support to families.
They will carry out practical work/home visits to families whom they have completed an assessment with.
Support can be offered for up to 12 weeks.
Lead Practitioners can request a Family Aide Worker, via their Early Help Coordinator.
Early Action Police Team
The team provide Early intervention, education, engagement and diversion work, mainly directly with young people but also their families. They work with children/families that are engaging in or at risk of criminal activity or exploitation.
Referrals are at the request of both Police colleagues and other professionals working with children and families.
To refer a family or young person, or get more information, email the team on bdeat@westyorkshire.police.uk.
Support ranges from between 1- 6 months.

Early Help Coordinators:
Will support all agencies and partners across the district to become Lead Professionals and support families
EHCs offer bespoke training and advice to all Lead Professionals.

Family Support
Targeted family support teams consist of staff from both Bradford Children and Families Trust and the Commissioned Voluntary Sector.
Intensive support for families with complex needs with a whole family approach
Typically - 6 month intervention
