Scouting in Bradford exhibition

A new exhibition called Scouting in Bradford which explores the largest youth movement in the world, is coming to Bradford Industrial Museum from Saturday 10 February to Sunday 15 September 2024.

Bradford Council’s Bradford District Museums and Galleries Service have worked with local Scout groups to open the new exhibition which features the stories and photographs of some of the Scouts in the district and information about famous Scout Ambassadors.

As well as the exhibition there is a campfire corner for families to sit and read together and there will be a programme of activities and family events.

Children can take part in the free Scouting Badge Seekers Trail by exploring the museum and finding all the Scout badges on display. They’ll be able to also find out how their badges link in with some of the amazing exhibits in the museum.

“I’m sure this exhibition will bring back many fond memories past members, as well as inspire Scouts to explore the museum, become interested in their local heritage, with some achieving their Artist Badge. We also hope it will encourage more young people to become involved in the Scouting movement.”
