St Giles Future Foundations

Future Foundations from St Giles is a program that aims to reduce reoffending and improve behaviour through targeted interventions.

Programme Objectives

  • Rehabilitation and Reintegration: Help youths reintegrate into society and reduce reoffending.
  • Behavioural Improvement: Address and improve behavioural issues through targeted
  • interventions.
  • Skill Development: Equip youths with life skills, effects of negative behaviours and peers.
  • Support Network: Provide a robust support system involving family, community, and professionals.

Target Groups

Youths aged 14-18 with any form of behavioural issues.
  • Youths in contact with the criminal justice system.
  • Family members can also benefit from this service as support system for all attached to the
  • service users.

Key Components

Assessment and Individualized Plans
  • Initial Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand each youth’s needs.
  • Personalized Plans: Develop tailored intervention plans based on assessment results which is
  • person centred.
  • Family Support: Involve families in support to address home environment issues.
  • Mentorship Programs: Pair youths with mentors who can provide guidance and support.
  • Community Engagement
  • Community Service: Encourage participation in community activities and projects.
  • Partnerships: Collaborate with local organizations, schools, and businesses for resources and
  • opportunities.

Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Regular Monitoring: Track progress through regular check-ins and assessments.
  • Feedback Mechanisms: Implement feedback loops to continuously improve the program.

Expected Outcomes

  • Reduced reoffending rates among participants.
  • Improved behavioural and emotional well-being.
  • Increased educational attainment and employment opportunities.
