Premier League Kick - BCFC Community Foundation
For the past 14 years, Premier League Kicks has been working in communities across the UK to inspire thousands of young people and aspiring footballers. We stress the power and importance of sport participation to help youngsters in some of the most high-need areas.
The scheme has enabled thousands of teenagers to find routes into education, training and employment with volunteering being a key component.
Our vision is to inspire children and young people to achieve their potential and improve their wellbeing; working together to build stronger, safer and more inclusive communities.
Free evening community provision for those aged 8-18. Using football as a diversionary activity to reduce ASB and improve police relations with young people. Targeting areas high in deprivation or where youth crime is prevalent and runs weekly throughout the year. Worked with over 700 young people last year 91% of those asked felt that their interpersonal relationship skills had improved and 89% reported improved mental wellbeing. Uses sport as a mechanism to encourage young people to take part in workshops and social action.
