Time Apart Time Together
What is Time Apart, Time Together?
Time Apart, Time Together is a programme designed to support parents and young people, ages 8 - 18, living in the Keighley area, who are experiencing difficulties around emotional wellbeing, mental health and resilience, whilst giving them an opportunity to spend some quality time together in a safe and friendly environment. Through our years of delivering support to families we have recognised that mental health support services are stretched, and young people can be waiting a long time for support. By designing this programme, we are enabling parents and carers to develop skills to support their children and young people, whilst building a stronger more positive relationship and better communication between you and your children.
How does Time Apart, Time Together work?
This programme is delivered in a flexible range of ways to meet your needs, and our offer includes the following: a once per week session for 4 weeks, delivered through the day or in the evening and 2 longer day model delivered during the holidays or for 2 consecutive Saturdays in term time.
These all include a celebration day for you, your children and partners/siblings to celebrate completion of the programme and promote family time together. The celebration activity is determined by you as a family. The programme is called a ‘mirrored programme’ - this means that attendance is required at all sessions by both you and your young person.
Time Apart, Time Together is being delivered on various dates between now and September 2025 at a range of venues in the Keighley and surrounding areas. The sessions include a range of delivery methods, including games, activities, and information sharing for both parent/carer and young person, this is done separately with parents/carers and young people, and at the end of each session you will come back together to participate in a fun activity!
