International Mixed Ability Sports (IMAS)

IMAS offer a range of activities designed to be fun, healthy and encourage wellbeing through exercise, sport and membership, for individuals or groups in clubs or classes.

Mixed Ability Sports in Bradford include bowls, rugby, football, racket ball, Tai Chi, golf, tennis, rowing, boxing, kickboxing, racket/pickleball, swimming, boxing and more.





Who is it for?
For people of all abilities and ages. Coaches are aware that many participants may have been inactive or face barriers to participation through inactivity, long term health problems or disability. Women or Men only groups/teams, Archery and Football. Rugby is full contact for males 17+ although there is provision for non-contact 'touch' rugby for juniors and women.

How do I access it?
Classes are open to all and run at various locations throughout the district. There is usually a sessional charge or membership fee.

An educational class for adults with intellectual impairment or for people on the autistic spectrum is available for those members who take up a Mixed Ability activity in the region. The organisation (International Mixed Ability Sports) exists to promote fully inclusive community activities and those members have the opportunity through this class to share their experiences and become part of the IMAS training team.
