Bradford District Best Start Local Plan
In the Bradford District, we are ambitious for our children and families. We want every child to have the best possible start in life, because we know that the earliest years shape future health, learning, and life chances in profound and lasting ways.
From April 2026, we are delighted that the Bradford District will receive Best Start in Life funding from the Department for Education.
We will continue the work delivered under the Family Hubs and Start for Life Programme and expand the focus to supporting families during pregnancy to children aged 0 to 5, helping children along the stepping stones to access excellent early education, being ready to start school, and achieving a good level of development at the end of their time in reception.
